FNSI Results
It was a stormy night here in Georgia! What a great way to spend it! Sewing! I made up 2 pillowcases to send to my daughter Kelsey who is back at college. These are so quick and easy, but with the french seams they look like you really put some time into them! I don't really follow a pattern so much on these but this is the one that I go back to if I get stuck!
Here is the pink one in action! I had planned on taking these outside to get some bright shots of this gorgeous fabric but it is very dreary here this morning so I gave up!

Here is the quilt that I made this summer. Kelsey loved it and I was proud that she wanted to take it with her to school! I think the pillowcases will look so pretty with the quilt!

I love FNSI and always look forward to seeing what everyone else makes! Thanks Heidi and Bobbi for hosting!

3 Things That I am Loving Right Now
This is the little tray that I bought when we were in the mountains. I love the colors of it and it is great to hold a few of my favorite things!

This book makes me SO happy. It was definitely the pick-me-up that I needed with Kelsey being back at college. It is "Embroidery Companion" by the AMAZING Alicia Paulson.
I'm putting in alot of time at the Media Center this week but come friday I hope to spend the evening sewing up some pillowcases for my sweet girl!

Friday Night Sew In!

Friday Night Sew In sign up is up at Handmade by Heidi! The next sew in is August 20. I appreciate Heidi and Bobbi hosting this! Kelsey left to go back to college this week so I think I will enjoy a night "with the girls" sewing, watching a little tv and eating chocolate! Kelsey took the star quilt that I had made with her. The quilt looks great in her room but she really needs a set of matching pillowcases. That is what I am planning on sewing Friday night. If the fabric I ordered comes in.
I hope that everyone enjoys the weekend!

Back to School
Cade started school this morning and I guess I have the "empty house blues" It will probably get worse because Kelsey moves back to college on Friday. I know you hear it all the time but kids really do grow up too fast!
I am hoping to get some much needed cleaning done and maybe a little sewing time! Today will be the first time ever that Cade has ridden the school bus. He is trying it out this afternoon!! Maybe that is why I'm nervous and flitting around getting nothing done!
Have a great day!
Libby
