Cade's Ice Day

We got a good bit of ice here in Georgia. Here is our road. The tracks are Andy's where he tried to go to the Fire Dept. before dawn, he didnt get far, had to come back and wait until daylight. It took him over an hour to get to work. It usually takes about 30-40 minutes. I hope they don't have many calls but they probably will with people out trying to drive in this mess.

Very slick icy road.

Cade got this big chunk of ice out of his sled. He wanted me to take pictures of it.

He really thought it was something.

He carried that ice chunk across the road to show my Mother.
Wendy liked it too! She kept taking big bites out of it until Cade dropped it.

I hope everyone is staying warm.

I hope we don't have school tomorrow!

That block of ice is huge! I love the picture with Wendy - my dogs would be doing the same thing - they love ice!

Libby, I am sorry you have ice. I hate ice. Are your trees cracking and breaking? We lost lots of tree tops in the major ice storm we had in Dec. 2007. I hope we never have another ice storm that bad. We are getting snow. We have about 6 inches so far. Stay safe.

I pray that Andy has a safe day at work! I hate ice, we got it really bad last year. But your road looks sooooo pretty with all those tall trees...love the rural areas. Cade certainly looks like he is enjoying this storm.

Hi Libby
Welcome to winter eh? I hope everyone made it to work ok and that you are adjusting to the temperature also. We've had some cold temperatures off an don here also but without the usual snow we could be getting. I hope the weather stays this way...
I looked at your embroidery posts and the pieces are beautiful...you so inspire me to embroider which is how I came about to embroidering on the quilt I made for Geoff and Kiley.
Hope you have a good day
Judi
